What to Expect at Camp
-
Covid-19 Safety & Prevention Protocol: Ridgewood Farm is happy to be offering camp during these difficult times. We will only register 12 children per week and will then break them up into two groups of 6 during the day to help with social distancing. Ridgewood Farm will be following the Covid-19 Ontario Guidelines for Summer Camp. We ask that parents make sure that your child is feeling well with no fever or any Covid symptoms before arriving each day to help ensure everyone's safety.
-
Campers ages 6-14 years-old are welcome.
-
Campers receive 8 structured lessons throughout the week, each lesson is an hour in length. Fun pony game relay races, small hacks around the property and much more!
-
Riders are taught with the emphasis on sound basics of equitation and good horsemanship.
-
For the more intermediate/advanced rider, we offer a more extensive program which allows riders to continue developing their riding skills in order to meet higher goals.
-
When not riding, campers will be taught stable management and horsemanship skills. These topics will vary from day to day but usually include visits from the farrier and vet.
-
By the end of the week each camper will walk away with a better understanding of horses and will have made some great new friends.
Camp Hours are from 9:00am to 3:00pm
